Solving Problems

At the current moment, being Madison’s designer, she has approved of all design details and is ready to move forward onto any next steps. The main challenge currently is finding the consumer base to sell out tickets and merchandise. Currently Madison is prepared to show the world who she is and how incredible her concert experience will be. The tour itself has been talked about a lot by friends, family, peers, and strangers all around. When it comes to purchasing the ticket or a piece of merchandise, Madison may fall short of her sales all around. Mandy Madison's whole tour is based on good vibes and family fun, but to be sustainable and have a good revenue to keep the tour going she must address any problems that can pop up unexpectedly. To make sure she is on the right track, Madison can use methods of ROI and rebrand or re-design her merchandise and logo in general. Extra expenses not gained from concerts can be used for advertisement so then the possibility of more people coming increases. Becoming more active with the fan base as well, photo ops, meet and greets, all of these general things can be used to create more funds. Overall, having a successful tour all around is the goal, it may fall short in certain areas, there is also the possibility everyone loves all the designs and buys a lot of merchandise.

Many problems are solvable and easier than they may appear. For example, A/B testing and using the method of ROI together will ultimately bring in the most sales making it possible for Madison to have a full lengthy and successful tour. “A/B testing, at its most basic, is a way to compare two versions of something to figure out which performs better” (Gallo 2017, Par 3). That being said, the next step after figuring out what is failing or just overall not doing as great is to act on them. If the logo needs to be changed then sure, working on that would be number the one priority. As the designer, some ideas that can change to logo would be making the beer can stand up, making the shirts a pocket tee logo, and having that same logo on the back saying Mandy Madison, July 4th Tour.  Making sure advertising is being done in the correct space/ areas, sticking with a style that is likable and one that fits the demographic more than anything. These are ways that Madison could advertise properly if the current method is failing for her (Nelson 2019, Par 5-8). Advertising in itself is the main way that she will be able to raise awareness for her tour. Credibility as well as communicating is a simple yet strong message. This could result in other logos being created or just using the image of Madison with the American Flag behind her having all tour dates on it. So billboards and posters near path stations can also help tremendously, “Depending on the goals of your ad campaign, advertising can go to work for your company in a variety of ways: To raise awareness of your brand. To drive potential customers to your business. To promote sales for both new and existing products. To introduce a new product or service to the market. To differentiate your product from your competitors” (Decker 2018, Par 3). Madison overall wants to win over her fans' hearts more than she already has. So that being said there is always a little bit of a competitive side to her, however the love given to the team and her fellow artists overflows.

Overall, change can be beneficial for Madison; however she is satisfied currently with the designs at hand. If something is not selling the way it should, come up with something spicier. Madison has come up with her own idea for the design of her shirts, however executing is up to the designers. Being given a budget to work with as well helps designers and their logo creations, not to “over create” something or make it so busy that it takes up more cost to print. Even cutting back the number of shirts to sell but raising the price by a small margin, that will help drastically with sales and how the budget works (Grieshop 2024, Par 21). “Money can't buy happiness,” on the contrary in most scenarios it can. People buy gifts all the time which are costly, as well as treating themselves. Making sure everything is priced correctly to fit the design is a crucial element Madison will need to figure out with her own budget. The main niche of the concert is to have fun, whether that be with drinks or just family. Madison needs to find a way to portray this onto designs. She has already created her own ideas, just executing it in the way the public will like is something harder. “Generally, niches like ‘t-shirts with funny slogans’ are too broad for a new business to successfully compete” (Hitchcock 2024, Par 7).

Finally, Madison has had the journey of getting to this point in the tour, but being successful is a whole new beast she needs to conquer. Getting organized and making sure the tour is profitable and fun involves fully seeing it through no matter what happens. Researching her venues will also map out key components and where to set up merchandise shops outside and inside the arena to create the most revenue possible. This will make it possible to continue the tour as well. Finally she needs to ask the mandatory questions of how everything is going, getting designers involved as well and if any kind of change is necessary (Percy 2023, Par 3-30). She is very understanding of things if they do need to be changed. Being very open minded means the designers can get to work and create new mockups and creations if things are not selling the way they should be, or if something needs to be tweaked. Madison is open to as much change as possible as long as it still feels like her. Overcoming any problems that are needed to be surpassed, she is ready for her tour to be as successful as possible.
